Alice Dwyer (NSW)
Secretary
Alice is a psychiatrist with a special interest and training in psychotherapy and perinatal/infant mental health interventions. She has worked across public, private, not for profit and NGO settings and understands in detail the complexities and challenges of delivering meaningful, effective and ethical mental health care. Throughout her working life she has provided direct clinical care to parent-infant dyads, in addition to clinical leadership, training and supervision to multidisciplinary teams and individual clinicians. The intersection between complex trauma, the absence of secure attachment experiences and the perinatal period is one of her core interests and preoccupations. Through all her work she remains inspired and excited by the potentially transformative work of perinatal and infant mental health. She is the inaugural Medical Director of Parent-Infant and Early Childhood Mental health at Tresillian Early Parenting services.
